馳騁：OrdioLab Knight Sandal 騎士檀香

前陣子玩了一些精油原料後，對OrdioLab 作品的元素有了一些新理解：

OrdioLab Extrait 系列在氣味處理上，致力於在保留整段目標天然原始氣味（玫瑰、檀香、茉莉）的同時，盡可能隱藏所有天然元素相對銳利、不穩定的部分，將焦點放在氣味頻段裡相對低沉、有力的區域，並力求氣味轉折流暢，寧可放棄氣味變化性也要讓氣味整體和諧。

騎士檀香毫無疑問是我目前最喜歡的 OrdioLab 作品，有玫瑰加成的玫瑰權杖也難以超越。（所以 OrdioLab 請考慮做一下做玫瑰版的騎士檀香嘛）

騎士檀香的主角當然是檀香——並且根據調香師的說法是邁索爾檀香。
典型的檀香是略帶灰塵感、粗糙且沉鬱的木質香調，而邁索爾檀香則是在此基礎上呈現出更加平滑，奶油般香甜的圓潤香氣。

騎士檀香是一支氣味濃郁香甜的滑順檀香，並帶著噴發的金屬辛香料與略帶髒感的麂皮做為對「騎士」的呼應，氣味強大且濃烈。

前調上皮，首先是強烈的月桂葉與大量辛香料，似乎有一點薑及粉紅胡椒？
偏煙燻的辛香料再配上藏紅花，創造出強烈的、冷色調的金屬感辛香料氣息，這裏的金屬感很有趣，並不是前衛香水中的高頻尖銳金屬感，而是透過辛涼的香料來模擬金屬摩擦時那種極為明亮、有幾分類似焦味的瞬間氣味。

寒涼的金屬色辛香料下，作為主角的邁索爾檀香早已進場——這裡的檀香去掉了所有灰塵感與粗糙感，帶上了麵包一樣飽滿蓬鬆的甜味，不是亞洲香水心得裡常見的「奶檀」，但確實是奶油味檀香。我隱約在這裡聞到了一絲 Javanol （爪哇檀香）的痕跡，這或許說明了為什麼騎士檀香的氣味如此強大：

輕鬆超過10小時的持香，完全蓋過其他氣味的質地密度，以及驚人的擴散。

在氣味核心檀香展現的同時，薰衣草、鼠尾草等元素也悄然顯現，銜接辛香料與奶油檀香。香料與經典的芳香植物氣息使氣味染上馥奇調的色彩，檀香強烈的奶油氣息在這裏取代了零陵香豆的作用，同樣帶來了溫暖厚實的平和感，

而作為對「騎士」的另一個致敬，騎士檀香在氣味基底又增加了柔軟且帶髒感的皮革——麂皮，延伸出天然檀香氣味的另一種面向：皮革檀香，並用來象徵騎士的皮革馬具，一點動物氣息的髒感是對騎士與烈馬的野性想像。

騎士檀香的氣味轉折並不大，且從頭到尾主角明確，就是檀香。其餘的大部分元素都是為了「騎士」服務，氣味與文案達成了良好的收束。
喜歡檀香的朋友強烈推薦一試。

Knight Sandalwood is an intense and creamy sandalwood scent, enriched with spicy metallic top notes and a slightly dirty suede base—an olfactory tribute to the image of a knight.

It opens with sharp bay leaf and an explosion of spices—perhaps ginger and pink pepper? There’s a distinct cool, smoky metallic spiciness, crafted through the interplay of saffron and other aromatic spices. This metallic impression isn’t the high-pitched, synthetic screech of avant-garde fragrances, but rather a fleeting, radiant, almost singed scent—like the bright friction of metal against metal, interpreted through cooling spices.

Beneath this chilling metallic veil, the Mysore sandalwood takes center stage—smooth, full-bodied, and sweet, like buttery bread. It’s not your typical milky sandalwood, but there’s a creamy richness that might hint at a touch of Javanol. This likely explains its remarkable performance:
over 10 hours of wear, dense texture, and powerful projection.

Alongside the sandalwood, hints of lavender and sage peek through, bridging the gap between spicy top notes and the creamy heart. These aromatic elements give the fragrance a fougère-like character, where sandalwood replaces tonka in delivering a soft, warm sweetness.

Finally, a touch of suede leather in the base adds a slightly animalic nuance—echoing the idea of leather harnesses and the wild elegance of a knight on horseback. It’s not clean leather; it’s earthy and worn, rounding out the composition as a leathery sandalwood with a rugged, noble edge.
